Number 4: The Notebook
I have to say that this was probably the worst movie I have ever watched. I literally laid down on the couch, covered my head and cried. I don't even know what to write about it. I liked the characters and how they were drawn to each other. I thought the mom was the biggest meanie head in the whole entire world. I loved how Noah kept coming back for Allie and he wrote her 365 letters. I think the movie would have been just fine leaving the whole him telling her the stories and her having dementia. I would not and will not ever watch this again.

Don't read the book then. It's sadder than the movie. The purpose of showing the older Noah reading to Allie is so that the watcher is reminded of his love for her and how it is so unwavering, through everything, even her dementia. It shows hope, because she did come back to him through reading their story, and the end gives us the idea that they are together, finally.
